Dive into the exciting world of game design and programming with this engaging course! Students will explore the p5play JavaScript library to unleash their creativity by designing, developing, and publishing their very own games. As they embark on this journey, they'll master essential programming concepts such as variables, functions, conditionals, and mouse/keyboard events—all while crafting fun, interactive experiences that they can play and share with friends. This is a non-credit 3-week course. Completion of this course does not guarantee admission or count towards the Pre-Professional Computer Science program.

Materials Required:
1) computer per student during class (Mac, PC, Chromebook all work great!)
2) Online connectivity at a minimum of 10Mb/sec
3) Modern browsers on computers Chrome Firefox or Safari Version 15.1 or higher

A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll, and a specific teacher is not guaranteed. It is the parents’ responsibility to check with their child's school when seeking credit for a course. For online courses, the students’ cameras MUST be turned on at all times, and attendance is mandatory. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording by students during the course. Students must be age appropriate for the course, and all students must adhere to proper online etiquette. For online courses, young children must be supervised by a parent at all times.
